NOW...missing in action!

Hey Gloria, Hanoi Jane, Marlo, and the rest of the gang,

Put down your Prune juice Shooters and Metamusal Margaretas and start paying attention to the news. A Muslim cleric in Australia has some opinions and attitudes that should have y'all just hopping mad. Well not hopping, don't want to break any hips, now do we.

"Sheik Taj Din al-Hilali, the nation's most senior Muslim cleric" said "Women, were 'weapons' used by Satan to control men." Not only that, he blamed gang rapes which were carried out by groups of Muslim men on; " women, he said, who 'sway suggestively' and wore make-up and immodest dress "..... But the problem, but the problem all began with who?" he said, referring to the women victims."

Where ladies is the furor, the hyperbole, the shrieking and the tears over this man's abominable comments? For more years than I can count you have verbally and emotionally emasculated any man who had the audacity to express an opinion that you felt was unfair to females, even going so far as to try to take "male" out of the word "female."

Now when there really is something to fight for or against as the case may be, you are "lost in space," "out of touch," MIA (if you don't recognize the term, ask Janey), or incontinent. Where is the righteous indignation or do you reserve that only for political purposes? Why are you not speaking out about the horrible fate imposed on our sisters under the veil? Are you ready to see your daughters, nieces, granddaughters and even yourselves, should you live that long reduced to the Sheik's version of a woman's life, "If she was in her room, in her home, in her hijab (veil), no problem would have occurred."

It's time I think for some new ideas on how to handle Muslims. I think that all Muslim men should be rounded up, shackled, gagged put into burkas and veils and be forced to stay in one room for as many years as it takes them to either go crazy (not a far trip, for most) or to understand what freedom means. Meanwhile the women can run the countries and I wouldn't be surprised if their economies rebounded quickly and for the first time in thousands of years we have peace in the Middle East.

Until that time it is incumbent on all of us to put radicals like the Sheik either in jail or send them back to where they came from. After all we want to know where to find them when we come to get them. Isn't that what they say about us in the west. It's only a matter of time before they come to get us, the infidels. Then they will chop off our heads, rape our women and make our children their slaves. If you don't believe it Lexus Nexus it. I dare you.

I would suggest we just gather them up and translate them but I really think they need the time to repent. God doesn't like it when one group of his children abuses and mistreats another. That could get you more than a time out, you could be "timed out" for eternity. I'm not sinful enough to wish that even on those who would wish it on me, although many more comments like the Shieks and I might have to change my mind.

The Uruk-hai are massing or One Burka to Rule Them All

My sweet spouse was indulging in some sick-time TV watching today and remarked that "The Uruk-hai are massing. They've taken over Europe and are closing in on Great Britain. It won't be long before they are at the very doors of Gondor."

That got me to thinking. It isn't unusual for life to imitate art. There have been cases throughout the years where people have wondered if the writer/artist had been having visions instead of just engaging in their respective crafts. We can liken the Lord of the Rings trilogy to our present day situation in many and sundry ways.

• The Ring of course could signify "freedom" something many different peoples seek to destroy. They, like Sauron, seek the virtual subjugation of all mankind under their "enlightened" yoke.
• The English may be the Ents an old but tired people. They seek to remain separate from the debacle that is going on beyond their borders, thinking that their island status will protect them.
• The Europeans are the left in the shire Hobbits who seek nothing outside their own vision. As long as it doesn't affect them personally they can continue to eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow is a long way off.
• There are some in the U.S. who are the Riders of Rohan. They have been attacked and know first hand the savagery of their opponents. The willingness of their enemies to destroy has already been powerfully proven to them. Some however are comparable to the Steward of Gondor who refuse to believe that any menace would threaten them. Then when the enemy was at the gates, they wring their hands and whimper that all is lost, finally succumbing to madness.

When will we awaken as did the ghosts within the mountain and come forth to fight for that which is right? Where will we find our Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli? There are at this time no Gandalf's or Frodo's to fight for that which we should all hold dear. The day is coming, mark my words, when our children will be given guns not just protect themselves but to protect those of us who are either too blind or stupid to see what is before us. History is replete with examples of this kind of indiscriminate thinking. If we wait for "peace" we will surely get it, "the peace of the grave and of slavery," "the peace of the Burka and beheadings."

All around us are agents of Sauron. Liberal leaders of the Democratic party here in the U.S. interchangeably play the parts of Saruman and Grima Wormtongue as well as the Steward of Gondor. They either seek to put off the fight in the hopes that it will enrich them monetarily or in the eyes of the world or they whisper poison in the ears of the country through the lips of the media just as did Wormtongue did to Theoden of Rohan. In Iran, their political leader channels Saruman with ever word he utters. He seeks destruction and unrighteous dominion over all the peoples of this earth.

In the end of Tolkein's trilogy the "men" are the victors. Thanks in great part to those who seemed to be less able to protect and serve. The Hobbits, Elves, a Dwarf and women all worked to succeed in this great cause. We all need to work to win this great cause, if not for us then for our children and our children's children. I would go to the halls of my father's with the knowledge that I did that which is right in the face of great evil and deceit. I would meet you there, is my wish.

History repeats itself

We did not succeed in Korea or Vietnam and now we are faced with a megalomaniac with delusions of godhood in North Korea.

This should make dealing with Iraq and Iran more important than ever. If we don't make sure that neither of these countries will use nukes, our children and grandchildren will face the same problem we have with that idiot in North Korea. It's seriously time to stop messing around and impress everyone with our resolve.

Nukes are not toys and children should not be allowed to have them. Countries who kill and maim innocents and their own people are not mature enough for nuclear power. They are not freedom fighters, they are toddlers throwing temper tantrums and need a spanking. It is up to more civilized countries to do that spanking and since most of those countries are too afraid of their own shadows to do anything it will unfortunately be left to a few.

Those who refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Just as Hitler repeated the mistakes of Napoleon during his European and African campaigns so too will we repeat the mistakes of Korea and Vietnam if we do not succeed in Iraq and Iran. During his presidency Ronald Reagan had a decision to make about Libya. He decided to stop playing tag with their government and take the fight to them. In the last 30+ years while Libya has been a player they have not come out in open rebellion again. This is the kind of leadership we desperately need. I'm just not sure there is anyone out there with the courage to do what must be done. The Liberals want to appease everyone, and the conservatives are so busy fighting among themselves they can't spare anytime to do anything else.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could elect people who were willing to work for the good of the country instead of what they can get in money or power?

Oh well, one can dream can't one.

Again?

The next time someone in my hearing says;
" We're only in this war for control of oil,
The government blew up the buildings to keep us from focusing on failed domestic policies or
There were no weapons of mass destruction"
or any of the other drivel that flows from the fanatically left throughout the world. I have a new mantra.

NORTH KOREA

I too, grew up watching MASH. I learned all about the futility of war, the hardship, the death and destruction. The North Koreans on that show were shown as people who were pawns of both their government and the coalition forces. I realize it is hard for some people (read Ted Turner) to understand that in war the enemy is out not just to advance their governments agenda, but to kill as many of the enemy, and even it's own people, as possible. "Never leave an enemy behind you" and "Send in the pawns first" are the sayings that most aggressors adhere to. If there are no enemies left you don't have to worry about insurrection and rebellion years down the line.

If we, the world community, had taken seriously what was happening in Korea after the war in the Pacific, we might have made different and better decisions. If we, including Asian countries had thought ahead into the future we might have guessed this is where we'd be. A country that is willing to take over and kill the population of one of it's neighbor countries is capable of anything, given the right circumstances. If we had stopped the North Korean government in the 1950's we would not now be dealing with nuclear disaster. If we had not appeased our allies, who have yet to admit the failure of Chamberlin-ism, we would not be facing an enemy with the power to destroy the entire nation of Japan, South Korea or half of China, not to mention the residual effect on the worlds ecosystem. Where are the environmentalists, Green Peace and the Sierra Club? (This is much bigger and more important than the extinction of the Snail Darter.) If we'd finished what we began we would not have a government that's willing to sacrifice it's people on the alter of international extortion.

This is why we are fighting the WAR ON TERROR. Someone in the White House knows and understands that if we don't finish this now our children and grandchildren are going to have to. The cost of that war may just be the annihilation of every living thing on the planet if not the destruction of the earth itself. For those of us who believe in an after-life this is not as dreadful as those who believe that this is the only life we get. Those who don't believe in life after this one should be on the bandwagon to get rid of those who seek dominion over mankind. Life is too short to spend it as slaves to a god who hates, destroys and subjects at least half of his children to eternal darkness and solitude. If the US government were half the bully the international community makes it out to be, a nuclear North Korea would not be an option. It would have been taken care of long before now.

Either we deal with it now or like in the case of North Korea we deal with it later, when the enemy has had years to develop their arsenal of weapons of MASS destruction. I vote for now, making sure that the enemy and their friends understand that we WILL be back, every time they push the envelope. If they want to do that we will make it as uncomfortable for them as humanly possible and if necessary we will kill them all.

Unfortunately this is the only thing megalomaniacs understand.

Repent the end of the world......

The news story d'jur is just appalling. Another shooting this time in a rural Pennsylvania school. Three dead children, girls again. Families destroyed, community devastated, and a country sickened. What have we come to? Haven't we hit rock bottom yet, and if not what constitutes rock bottom.

How many more children have to die before we as a nation and people wake up? How much more damage to families and communities has to go on before we do what we should have done years ago?

You people who champion personal liberty, get this straight. This country was founded on the premise of Freedom of religion not from religion. Why did these things not happen in the fifties? Because in the fifties people went to church, at least most of them did. Children were taught in their homes and at school the Golden Rule- Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. The Ten Commandments were a staple in most homes, schools and government buildings as well as in many businesses.

Why today would someone think that killing innocent children is wrong. According to the atheists and hedonist running the government and Democratic Party in this country and abroad, as well as our schools and universities there is no wrong. People should be allowed to do whatever makes them "feel" good, and if sexually assaulting teenage girls does it for them, who are we to judge? If pummeling someone is what it takes to get you what you want, where's the problem? If beating up your spouse, children or parent makes you feel better, then they shouldn't have asked for it.

We are not human beings anymore. We are animals. Driven by our own desires and cravings we eat to much, drink too much and indulge in other appetites too disturbing to mention. Children are exposed to the crass, cruel, and craven on a daily and sometimes hourly basis. Not by strangers but by their own parents, and families. Soon the only way to keep them safe is going to be keeping them captive with the walls of their own homes but are they really safe there?

Look at the movies you own and the video games. Check out where your kids go on line and what kind of video games they play. Find out who their friends are and what they are being taught in school. I think you'll be surprised and not pleasantly.

To paraphrase Smokey the Bear "Only you can prevent, disaster" but even that's not true. At least when the perpetrator is another nationality, or culture or color you can be wary. These days as Pogo a cartoon character in the 2nd World War said, "We have met the enemy and he is us."

We should be congratulated. It took thousands or millions of years for the world to be created(all you creationist and evolutionist get ready, we'll start the slapdown just as soon as I'm done here). We've managed to destroy civilization in what, 4 thousand years.

I'll bet it's a record.

Nude Art?

Sometimes I despair.

I an a Christian and a Conservative, note the capital C's. I am not however a hypocrite, kook or hysteric. This article by our "friends" at the New York Times makes Christians and Conservatives look like hysterics, kooks and hypocrites.

I have a suggestion for those of you out there who are so offended by the human body. Get rid of it. That's right, if your eye offends you, pluck it our, if your hand offends you, cut it off. That's what scripture tell you. Right? It also says that if people and I would guess that means children too, do certain things they should be cast out or even better stoned. How many of you are going to stone your child if they make a mistake? Lucky for us the Lord doesn't take us out every time we mess up.

Here's another suggestion for you. Put your women behind the veil. That way no one but their lord and master will see them. While you're at it make sure they stay pure and don't educate them in any way shape or form. After all they might turn into sex maniacs if they see Micheangelo's David or the Venus de Milo. (I would have put in links to these here but I didn't want to be labeled a degenerate)

In the larger context, why don't you start defacing the art of centuries and paint burkas and robes on it. Start with the Sistine Chapel, which I'm sure those of you who are evangelicals would prefer, after all Catholics are "tools of Satan" right. Then there's the above mentioned sculptures. After all God made man in his own image and I guess we should be ashamed of that.

I am the first one to disparage strip joints, pornography and popular clothing. I don't go to see R rated movies, not because of the violence (which I don't like) but because of the sex. I don't watch much television for the same reason. I however see nothing titillating in classic art. Maybe if we stopped looking at the human body as an amusement park and stopped assigning "sin" to body parts, this kind of stupidity would cease.

Lastly, GET YOUR MINDS OUT OF THE GUTTER. If you think every piece of art containing Nudity is salacious, I would contend that "sin" just as "beauty" is in the eye of the beholder.
