God? What God?

It seems our friends from the MSM are at it again. According to a new poll by the Harris Co. almost half of American uncertain that God exists.

I find that fascinating. //The survey conducted by Harris Poll found that 42 percent of US adults are not "absolutely certain" there is a God compared to 34 percent who felt that way when asked the same question three years ago.
The survey was conducted online between October 4 and 10 among 2,010 US adults.

In February and March 2002 the Pew Research Council conducted a survey of 2,002 adults. Questions about religious preference were included. The results are below:

Religious Preference % June 1996 % March 2001 March 2002
Christian 84 82 82
Jewish 1 1 1
Muslim * 1 *
Other non-Christian 3 2 1
Atheist * 1 1
Agnostic * 2 2
Something else (SPECIFY) * 1 2
No preference 11 8 10
Don't know/Refused 1 2 1
TOTAL 100 100 100

I guess the folks at Harris Poll managed to find the 42 percent of people who were not "absolutely certain" there is a God. I'd kind of like to see what the other options for that question were.

I would also like to remind anyone who is willing to listen that both of these polls sampled only 2000 people. I'll bet if the sampled 2000 people in Provo Utah, or Tulsa Oklahoma, or Great Bend Illinois you would probably get much different answers.

Since Harris has been know to skew it's research I'm not exactly sure why anyone would pay much attention to this poll but it is interesting that it comes out just in time for the November elections. Would they be trying to disenfranchise Christian conservatives or other people of faith. Of course not! Who would do such a thing?

Remember Tuesday the 7th is election day. Turn off the soaps, skip lunch, delay the after work beer, pay you day care folks for an extra hour and go and vote. There's more than local issues at stake. We haven't been attacked since 9/11 but Spain has. As soon as those we fight detect weakness they will be on us like ugly on an ape. I personally do not want to have to hold up in my home, fighting street to street like Bagdad, but I will. I'll make those fanatics understand why the Romans feared and hated the Celts. Although I won't go naked into battle I will go into battle painted blue like the berserkers of old. With bleached hair and screaming war cries.

Still I would rather not. I would rather fight them now and kill them now before any more innocents can be killed. Remember those we fight use women and children as shields. That is the height of cowardness and pomposity. They are going to be surprised when they get to the other side to find instead of getting 32 virgins, they get to be the property of 32 virgins that were killed in the name of Jihad. How truly ironic that would be.

Mawhahahahaha

I was inspired to write this scene by FrankJ of IMAO

In a secret room, concealed with in the tower of the old Smithsonian building, someone in a black hooded robe sits over a monitor and whispers "... stuck in Iraq, " into a microphone. As the clouds part moonlight filters through the window and illumiates the face and blond hair of the robed figure.

Lynne Cheney

She throws back her head and laughs, "Mawhahahaha, my clone of Kerry is working perfectly. Luckily naive citizens and non citizens like Michael J Fox don't read the fine print on stem cell research and data. Just think, soon I can create a whole army of fake liberals who will be able to put both feet into their mouths, up to the thigh. Conservative will never have to worry about an election again. Mahahahahaahahah.
