Dualality

My spouse(scribbling monk)and I try not to blog too often on the same subject but this is just to good to pass up.

On Saturday, yes, just this Saturday a picture moved out of AP. This is the caption: //A militant armed with a machine gun takes a position in central Ramadi, a hotbed of Sunni insurgency, 115 kilometers (70 miles) west of Baghdad, Iraq, Friday, Dec. 8, 2006. (AP Photo)//

I don't have a copy of the picure handy but I can share with you a few interesting details of the pictue. It is indeed a picure of man, his face covered, holding a machine gun, crouching on the ground in a city type environ. That doesn't sound so interesting does it? What is interesting about the picture is the folks in the background. Either they are friends and comrads of our little jhadist or this picture is posed.

I don't know about anyone else, and I'm sure some people get used to seeing armed gunmen on the corner with fruity looking material covering their faces but not me. If I saw someone like that I would be running in the opposite direction. I don't think I'd stand around watching to see what this fanatic is going to do next. That however, is what it looks like the folks in this picture are doing. Standing next to their cars and watching "Emar Fuddjami" hunt for Amewican Wabbits.

AP is still laundring dirty photos. This picture has no name attached to it, it just says stringer. They obviously didn't learn from their mistakes. What am I saying these people are Liberals, they remake the wheel hourly. They aren't just doomed to repeat history they are courting the opportunity. As Bugs Bunny would say "What a bunch of Maroons."

CHRISTMAS

It's Christmas and that means it's time for the Christ-phobes and the anti-Jesus-fanatics to come out of the woodwork.

It seems plans are again afoot to ban the "reason for the season."

In Chicago

At the Gap

In the halls of Congress

In Kentucky and
Internationally
In the U.K.

The good news if there is any is that folks are starting to fight back.

It's about time that Christians start waking up and making a joyful noise.

CHRIST is the reason we celebrate Christmas. It is the remembrance of his birth and the gifts of the Magi that we emulate. If you aren't Christian don't celebrate. Just as those of us who have been in, say predominately Jewish areas ignore the celebrations accompanying Hanukkah or in areas with large Chinese influence, the Chinese New Year.

It is not the fault of Christians that people not of our faith insist on celebrating with us. Like the Irish and St. Pat's Day, we feel the more the merrier. If you don't wish to participate don't but do not insist that we stop our celebrations on your account. It's selfish, inconsiderate and rag mannered. I don't insist Muslim women come out behind the veil, but it still offends me that in this country we allow a segment of our population to be degraded and abused. So leave me and my nativity scene, carols, lights, cards and tree alone, please.
Or
I might have to respond in kind. How about a ban on Ramadan or Passover. Sounds like a politically correct answer to nobody's prayers to me. I like it! "After all I want everyone to be miserable just like me." Sound like anyone you know? Christians know who the author of those kinds of thoughts are, and it is he who pulls the strings of the agitators and rabble who year after year seek to jettison God from our lives. Throw him and his minions out of the season, be nice to each other, kind, generous, giving and helpful. Do unto others as you'd have done to you. Think out side your personal box and make a And of course have a blessed...

Merry Christmas

She's baaaaaaaaaaaaaak

After the debacle that was the November elections I decided I didn't want to post anymore. I was tired of people making stupid decisions because they are unwilling or unable to look into the future. Everything has to pertain to right here and right now.

I have crawled out of my self imposed exile and come back into the light. It burns my eyes, but I have to keep to the path. I wish there were a place those of us who are disgusted with the world could go and not have to deal with it anymore but the only place I know that fits the criteria is Heaven and I'm definitely not ready for that. I'd never make the cut.

In my local news paper today is an open thread about whether George W. is the worst president and I had to respond as follows:
//We can thank the three previous presidents for the war in which we find ourselves now. Carter, Bush senior, and Clinton all had opportunities to do something about the problems with the Middle East and terrorism but they were too busy trying to redistribute everyone else's money.

Reagan took care of Wacky Kdaffy (Libya). He was such a Cowboy that the Iranians freed the hostages that they had been holding for over a year. He kept the pressure on the Soviets until things began to fall apart on them.
After Reagan things began to fall apart. Why some might ask? Because the rest of the world knew that Bush Sr. did not have that "fire in the belly" Reagan had for the US, and that the Slickmiester wouldn't actually DO anything to them. He spent 8 years in office not doing anything, except interns and supporters (i.e.. Monica and Kathleen Willy).
No matter how you try to dress it up a pig is still a pig. You can rewrite all the history you want, but the fact is Libya was subdued and the Iron Curtain came crashing down during Reagan's presidency. Call it coincidence, call it fate, call it kismet but those are the facts.

Those who can not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. We've already had a repeat of Dec. 7th on 9/11/2001, are we going to have to repeat other atrocities before we finally get the idea that these people are out to KILL us. All of us, every man, woman and child, and they don't care how. You want to obsess about something? Don't worry about global warming, worry about dirty bombs, and nuclear holocausts. That's where we're headed. If we don't stop them now we won't live to see the effects of global warming and you can take that to the bank.//

Wasn't that fun. I'm just filled to the brim with Christmas spirit, goodwill, and joy. One of the reasons I stopped posting is because it seemed that I had lost my sense of perspective. I still don't think my perspective is very good but I'm no less depressed now than I was in November so not postings had no real affect. So " I'm back from outta space, you've just walked in to find here with that sad look upon my face."

Oh well it's better than quoting Shakespeare's Henry V, I guess.
