It's Just Business

I heard a rumor today. A financial organization that I do business with is outsourcing jobs to a foreign country. They are going to move part of their telephone jobs overseas.

Guess what? I don't want to talk to Rahijb about the problem with my account. I don't want to have to translate his answer before I can ask him another question. I don't want a business that makes money off of my money using it to pay people in another country a pittance to work a 17 hour day. I don't want a business that's making record profits to use them to put Americans out of work. I want that company to put Americans to work.

One of the reasons that Democrats and Liberals managed to make the gains they did this election is that Conservative Republicans have allowed Big Business to run roughshod over the American worker. Unfortunately, there is a reason that unions exist. I wish they didn't but the reason they exist is because MANY businessmen think they can make money by abusing and using their workers. They try to hire only part time people so they won't have to pay benefits. They don't hire enough people to do the work but the expect people to work mandatory overtime to get the work done. They hire people who are incompetent so they don't have to hire people who expect more money because they actually know what they're doing.

Worse however they outsource jobs and they expect us to buy what they sell. I wish someone would put a listing of all the companies who have outsourced jobs overseas and then those of us who are tired of this kind of shady behavior could try to avoid these companies.

If I find that the above rumor is true, I will close all of my accounts with said financial institution. I will downsize. I will take out an account in a local bank, go back to using checks, and give up the convenience of online banking. I've spent 27 years as a Mom, I know how to sacrifice.

How DARE she?

It's sleeting here in flyover country. Therefore I have lots of time to peruse the news, and what do I find. What NONSENSE do I uncover?

It's seems the esteemed? Senator from California, the land of fruits, nuts and flakes, has seen fit to push real feminism back about 100 years. She has called into doubt the ability of a single, non reproductive, professional, educated women. Secretary Rice can not know or understand the feelings of families whose members are serving and dying in the military. Does that mean that women who don't have children should be barred from education, child care, nursing, medicine in general, law involving children, politics, journalism and other occupations that may impact on children.

Let's logically follow Boxers assertion. If Sec. Rice can't understand because she hasn't been there, what does that say for other enterprises. How can a doctor treat cancer, if he's never had cancer? How can someone preach about the afterlife if he's never been there? How can a judge or jury decide on the guilt of a criminal, if they've never committed the crime? How can a politician represent "every" member of their district if they have not experienced everything their constituents have? Some may claim the previous question are absurd. They are no more absurd than the original comment that spewed from the mouth of the MS. Boxer.

Femi-nazi's like Boxer have never represented me. They have NO idea what I want or need. They have mocked women like me. They tried to make me feel guilty for contributing to the overpopulation of the planet (I have 6 children). They told me that a career as a stay at home mom means that I am lazy, spoiled, a malingerer, slothful and unmotivated. Hillary Clinton made fun of those of us who choose to raise our children ourselves instead of passing that on to nannies or babysitters, by her "baking cookies" remark. There are those who by virtue of need must work but this is not the ideal. Ask women who have to work and trust the care of their children to others and the majority will tell you they'd rather be home.

How dare she make such a comment? She makes it because she knows that the liberal "lap dog" "drive by" "bend over" media either won't report it or will bury it on page 4 under the fold. She is a disgrace to her office, her sex and her species. She should be impeached, tared and feathered and run out of town on a rail. Send her back to San Francisco where her "values" are appreciated. Given the lifestyles of those who voted for her it's no wonder she parrots such dreck.

Intelligensia

I am consistently surprised at both the naive and politically correct vein that throbs through post secondary education today.
Here
here
and most especially
here

The last post was the most egregious however. In a opinion piece for a Charlotte Newspaper, a professor, one of 80+ who signed an ad pertaining to this sad and distressing episode is whining because many of the students and their parents are pressuring her to disavow this ad.

Why would they do this. It is this professors opinion that they do not want their friends or school to appear in a bad light. Nowhere in her opinion piece does Ms. Davidson mention that those young men accused of this terrible crime may in fact be innocent. She sloughs off the idea that this could be a case of reverse racism with the attitude that this kind of thing never happens. Maybe she is too young to remember Twana Brawley. Most of the parents of Duke students however are not. They are also smart enough to realize that someone who takes off her clothes for money probably also does other things for money. It's not a long step to prostitution from "exotic" dancing.

The facts are that those young men should not have been drunk, nor should they have ordered a stripper. The woman in question should not have been working as an "exotic dancer" on call for private parties. She should have been working at a job where she didn't take off her clothes. She was already bruised and battered when she got there. She should have never been there in the first place. There is more than enough blame to go around everywhere in this mess

The most salient fact is that the accuser has changed her testimony again and again. Every time the defense proves something she says is false, here comes a new charge or a change of recollection. Now she doesn't remember if she was penetrated by a penis. She does remember one of her attackers said he was engaged but doesn't remember what time the attack happened. She is a single mother, again. This makes how many children from how many men.

If you want to talk about Social Disasters Ms. Davidson how about focusing on the fact that because some woman cried "white wolf" other women, black, white, yellow and green will not be given the attention they deserve. Real victims will not be believed because some woman thought she saw a way to get rich quick or because she was offended by a group of drunken, emotionally immature idiots and looking for revenge. And because the citizens of the community where this happened were so stupid as to put someone without a shred of common sense in charge of the law in their community they have become a hiss and a by word through out not just the country but the world at large.

This isn't just a Social Disaster it is a Judicial Disaster. There has been no burden of proof for the accuser. These young men were, from Ms. Davidson and her ilk's point of view guilty from the first moment. They are to atone for the excesses of all men, especially southern men from the time of slavery until the night of the infamous party. Of course they're guilty, their men aren't they. It doesn't matter that even if they are proven innocent they will bear the stigma of this trial for the rest of their lives.

Saying these men are guilty without facts is like saying that some women are teases, that they enjoy it, and revel in it. Then when something happens out of their control they are the poor misunderstood victim. In situations like this everyone should have to take responsibility for their actions. Everyone. Unless they do justice will never be served and society will continue on it's downward spiral.

Times-Slimes

Today main story on Malkin prompted this response from yours truly. While I am an abortion opponent, I am not a rabid foe who agrees with some of the more violent and deranged out there. My belief mirrors that of my religious organization which is that abortion while sometimes medically necessary should NEVER be used as birth control. The decision should only concern the mother, the father, the doctor and whatever religious professional the parents seek out. Of course for those of us who are believers, God would be that professional but not everyone is a Christian, therefore they must go to whoever represents or is their Supreme Being or Intelligence.

I wrote:
It is a fact that the decline in newspaper readership can be directly traced to items such as your story by Jack Hitt concerning abortion in El Salvador. Over the years The New York Times has somehow garnered a reputation for factual, objective, professional reporting. Where such a reputation has come from is a mystery to me. The editors at your paper wouldn't know objectivity if it took off all it's clothes and danced naked on a tabletop in the middle of the newsroom, with a rose between it's teeth and searchlights for pasties.

Over the last several decades the arrogance of your editors is only exceeded by the lack of professionalism exhibited by your reporters who are either too lazy to check their facts or so stupid they think no one will notice.

You can pat yourselves on the back. Thanks to your inability to "get it right" the "new media" has become the place where more and more people get their news. This newspaper may go down in history as the major cause for the disintegration of a whole industry. Keep up the good work. If you people had been steering the Titanic no one would have survived.

From all the bloggers and internet news sharers and their loyal readers, Thanks again for remanding everyone why we need the alternative press.

....and I sent it too. Bet they don't print it, but I will.
