Savior?

Well here it is ladies and gentlemen, the beginning of the end of the Republican Party.

What does John McCain stand for? He's soft on illegal immigration, he's soft on abortion, he's soft on global warming as a scam and a multitude of other issues. He has partnered with some of the most liberal senators in the country to co-author legislation that drop by drop allows our freedoms to simply be leached away. On one hand he says he wants the help the military and on the other he seeks to abort their mission and allow our enemies to win the war. Mr. McCain has now jumped on the Global Warming bandwagon as it careens out of control due mainly to the lack of common sense inherent in it's devotees.

While I am uncomfortable with Juan, I am truly frightened of the alternative. They are beholden to those who wish nothing more than the destruction of America and the seduction of her people to a life where their is no choice, no freedom and no liberty.

I wish I could spread the word and convince other like minded folks that WE are the Republican Party. We make the rules. We drive the debate. Those seats lost in Texas were lost because we don't believe in our leaders any more. They have "tossed us under the bus", they have "thrown us from the train", they have sentenced us to sit in the back of the bus. How one might ask? By abdicating their responsibilities, by jettisoning our principles and beliefs, by allowing those who oppose us to systematically strip us of our rights and by not standing firm. Instead they bow like wheat before a turgid wind, bending so far over as to touch the ground in the face of vapid science, vitriolic rhetoric and downright deception and lies. I want my party to stand firm, to represent me and my beliefs which haven't changed in the last 3 decades.

I want representatives with spines, backbones, and brains. I want people who are not beholden to special interest groups or lobbyists. I want clear thinking, freedom loving, individuals who are in the job to serve not make it so everyone serves them. I want someone more interested in WE the people then in THEY the politician.

There is quote in one of the most popular movies of my generation, that describes this mind set. After being told by his student "I can't believe it", a small pointy eared masters says " that is why you fail".

That ladies and gentlemen is why we lose.

Thanks for that but I've seen that job and I DON"T want it.

I have a lot of respect for guys like Thompson and Romney. These are men who don't need the job, or the power but are willing to serve 4-8 years in a job in which they will never get the credit they deserve.

I've already had a job like that. Although I wouldn't trade it for the world, I wouldn't take on another one either.
